Different aspects of robot navigation are investigated from applications to
basic research issues. The activity is carried out using different
experimental vehicles such as a TRC-Labmate and a prototype of a 6 d.o.f.
vehicle designed and build by an Italian company (Telerobot) for the
URMAD project .
Topics of reasearch interest and activities are:
- Visually based navigation architectures (from obstacle avoidance to planning)
- Composition of basic behaviors for navigation
- Use of dynamic information for navigation control
